Is anyone else having a hard time believing summer is coming to an end?
As we wrap up the season, we’re grateful for the time we had with Charlie Gerace, our summer intern in the Birmingham, AL, office. While it’s hard to say goodbye, we’re excited to see what’s next for him.
During his internship at Palomar, Charlie worked closely with our Commercial Marketing Account Team, assisting with client applications and insurance submissions for both new and renewal business. He also completed a special project compiling an extensive property schedule of values for over 70 properties, gaining valuable insight into the role corporate insurance plays in business operations.
Charlie shared that he’s leaving this experience with “greater self-confidence, a new skill set, and even more excitement for a future in the insurance industry.” He expressed deep appreciation for the support and mentorship he received from the Palomar team. He said, “This internship has helped me align my academic background with my career aspirations in insurance.”

“We were fortunate to have Charlie with us this summer. He brought enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine curiosity to our Birmingham team. We are proud to have been part of his journey and look forward to seeing where it takes him.”
Charlie is a rising senior at Ole Miss in Oxford, MS, majoring in Finance with a minor in Business Marketing. He also holds an Excel Associate Certification through Microsoft. This internship has helped him align his academic background with his career aspirations in insurance.
Palomar is thankful for Charlie’s contributions this summer, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.
