Griffin is an insurance executive with more than a decade of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance. With a foundation in legal training, a strong technical sales background, and proven leadership, he serves clients across a wide range of industries and risk financing structures, including public entities, real estate, hospitality, industrial, transportation, marine, construction, and professional services.
His expertise spans program design, brokerage, policy placement, coverage analysis, risk analytics, and the implementation of alternative risk financing solutions, including captives and large-deductible programs. In addition to his insurance experience, he practiced law, working with businesses and individuals in litigation in both state and federal courts.
Before joining Palomar, he served as President of a boutique brokerage that specialized in complex programs across multiple industries. His background includes working at two of the top 10 largest insurance brokers in the United States, where he focused on large- and middle-market clients and consistently exceeded sales performance benchmarks, earning recognition as a top producer and being named a Partner.
In addition to his insurance career, Griffin is an entrepreneur who has co-founded and operated a successful performing arts studio. He is also active in community leadership, having co-founded a Young Professionals organization and serving on the board of directors of his local chamber of commerce.
He is a member of the Alabama Bar Association and earned a Juris Doctorate from Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law, where he earned multiple CALI Awards and “Best Paper” honors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a management focus from Chipola College, where he received the “Most Outstanding Student in General Management” award. Additionally, he holds the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and MLIS (Management Liability Insurance Specialist) designations.
