Daviston Payton is a Property & Casualty insurance broker at Palomar specializing in construction and habitational risk management. Prior to joining Palomar, he spent five years as a risk consultant in the energy sector for a national company, focusing on identifying complex exposures and implementing practical loss-control strategies for large, high-hazard operations. He graduated from Troy University with a BSBA in Risk Management & Insurance, having transferred from Jefferson State Community College, where he played collegiate golf, earned All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors, and served as team captain for two years. Those experiences helped shape his disciplined, relationship-driven approach to serving contractors, developers, and property owners. Outside of work, Daviston enjoys golfing, hunting, and spending time with his son and family.
